The Wharton Customer Analytics Initiative is excited to announce a new experiential learning opportunity for Penn students. The Analytics Accelerator Challenge will match selected students, working in teams, with companies to provide implementable solutions to their most pressing marketing and analytics problems.

WCAI is currently accepting applications from interested students through September 25th. Student finalists will then be notified and invited to vote on which of the company finalists they are most interested in. WCAI will ultimately assemble the student teams, match them with companies for mutual success, will provide faculty guidance, and project management for a month-long project.

The student application is now open, and both undergrads and graduate students are encouraged to apply. Interested candidates must submit the following to be considered:

  • Resume
  • Statement of Interest (1 page)
  • Video (2 minutes)

In the statement of interest and video, please focus on why you should be considered, including your technical qualifications, experience working as part of a team, and examples of analytics projects you have completed.

Who is Eligible?

Ideal candidates will possess a combination of relevant skills ranging from technical capability to leadership experience. Both graduate and undergraduate students may apply.

Most importantly, you must be able to commit a minimum of 10 hours/week for 4 weeks, and must be available on the following dates & times:

  • Friday, October 13th from 12-5pm – Initial meetings with WCAI
  • Monday, October 16th from 4-8pm – Project scoping calls with companies
  • Friday, November 17th from 9-5pm – Final presentations and Analytics Summit

Student project team members will be compensated for their time.
